LIGHT AMONG DEMONS

Art, poems and prose.

Suddenly tonight, you watch your demons scroll-by,
On the television screen.

And then you stop smiling.
The clouds are now sprouting like yams.
Memories are now dead fish floating on pond waters.

Suddenly tonight, you lay your back of worries against the wall.
Wandering spaces of trepidation.

Why me O' God!
Wondering why your body is the only home for battles.
Suddenly, Dusin Oyekan jump out of your throat,
As well as Tope Alabi and TY bello.

The spirit of light filling your lips.
Rain of hope filling the night.

Suddenly, you switched off the night.
Slept off with light all over your body.
