EMPTY WITHOUT YOU

Art, poems and prose.

In this bitter-sweet world I was born,
I have eaten soft bread and ripe corn.
Aye! I have tasted mead and wine sweet,
But, without you, I am still nothing.

You are my light, my omnipotent lord
That has a loving grip on the world.
You gave me purpose and talents
To make an impact, like Jesus sent.

You are the sun that brightens my day
When there is no ray to light my way.
So, Forget not my muse or my humble name
That continues to praise your holy name.
