LOCKDOWN

At the moment, the world is faced with a crisis that has threatened the way of living of all mortal men dwelling on earth. And I keep asking myself: What does lockdown means to a child of God? And after meditating on it, I finally came up with something I will like us to meditate on. Goodluck!

L = Love God the more.
Matthew 22: 37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
John 13:24: A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 15: 13: Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.

O = Open-up yourself to his Word
John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

C = Care for the things on God’s heart
Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.

K = Know his peace and joy
Philippian 4:7: And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 1:8: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

D = Deny fear
Romans 8:15: For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
2 Timothy 1:17: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

O = Operate in the realm of faith
Hebrew 11:1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Ephesians 3:17: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.

W = Worship God always.
Psalm 149:1-5:
Praise you the LORD.  Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the tumbrel and harp.
For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

N = Nothing should separate you from prayer.
Luke 18:1: And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
James 5:16: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Our present enemy is persistent. He has been trying to end our divine existence from the genesis of life. He doesn’t want us to be lockdown in the spirit with our heavenly father. He want us to be lockdown in fear and penury, and we must prove him wrong and let me know that we are not ignorant of his devices and the more we press deeper into God, the more we see more of him.

In God’s Love,
Okunola Peace.
