ODE TO BLACK PEOPLE

I love my home and her silver skylines—

A vast land of green plains and lofty hills

Where the murmuring blue waters run deep

For the advancing tides and flooding rains.

Have you tasted her sweet-smelling dishes

That is delicious and full of pepper?

I love my jewel land covered in gold

Where the virtuous lineage that defines us

Births our love for the beauty and culture

That resounds in our songs, stories and dance.
