SING UNTIL THE LOVE COMES OUT

Here is my new story. I hope it adds love and color to your week.

It was Tuesday, and the weather was cheery. I woke up with a hearty heart. The night had been bitterly cold that I had to wrap myself in a full set of clothes and my blanket. It was during the harmattan season, but the duty that comes with each day couldn’t be quelled by the coldness of the atmosphere.

I checked the time on my phone, and seeing that I had half an hour to spare before rising to prepare for the day, I opened my phone’s music player, it was full of songs of love and happiness. It was full of songs that makes me keep believing and those that saturate my heart with joy.

And even though I knew my voice might not be needed in the studio, I started playing the songs and sang along.
My voice might not be sonorous like that of Peter Pan, but I know I made a joyful noise.

And so, song after song I sang along nodding my head and before I knew it, I was tapping my hands on my thighs rhythmically. And suddenly, I felt love in my heart, I felt the angels singing along. I felt the beauty of life that adds no sorrow to it.

And with this love in my heart, I rose to start my day.

What am I saying?

God did not promise us that each day will be rosy, but he promised to give us life in abundance. There are days when you will just have to sing until the love comes out. Sometimes with tears in your eyes, you will just have to sing until the love comes out. Sometimes without a dime in your pocket, you will just have to sing until the love comes out.

Sometimes when it seems as if the whole world is against you, you will just have to sing until the love comes out. Sometimes you will just have to become a creator and create your light in the raging darkness.

So friend, sing until your love comes out! Glow, laugh and dance if need be.
Yes! Sing and do not let your music die.

In God’s Love,
Okunola Peace.
