ÀDÈṢEWÁ

You are a gift to àgbáyé
Whose place no woman can take.
You are àyá'bá dídára
Whose presence in life is a blessing.

Can you hear àwọn ọrìn ẹlẹwà
Tí àwọn angẹli ọ̀run ń ko?
Can you hear the soft rhythms
Of sounds that fills aféfé?

If not for ọjò ìbí,
The day your cry filled aféfé.
If not for ọjò ìbí,
We would never have known
A queen lovely than àwọn ìràwọ.
If not for this special day,
We would not be celebrating
A treasure made into obìnrin.
